Foodstylist

This is my food stylist. He is also the taste tester (along with Neil, Lily and Charlie). He Determined that the Tried and True recipe from Maine prevailed over the Cook's Illustrated version. Both were excellent. But The Maine Collection recipe was sweeter and very moist which my tasters loved.

Banana Bread (adapted from The Maine Collection A Cookbook from the Portland Museum of Art)
3 ripe bananas
1 1/2 cups of sifted flour
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mash bananas. Blend sugar, egg, melted butter and vanilla. Sift flour and dry ingredients. Mix together until blended. Pour into greased loaf pan. Sprinkle the top with sugar (optional) and bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Comments:
love it. A nice gift to find after a long time from checking the blog o' sphere. Idea!? A friend had a cookie party where folks gather to share all things cookie, with the tasting and the swapping recipes and such.

Can't wait for more.

Are the (amazing)cabinets two "cans" or "knockers"?
